Bags Rules Summary

Double Elimination Tournament (each team is guaranteed 2 games)

GAMES

Each head-to-head bracket game will consist of one game to 21 points.

The first team to reach that amount at the conclusion of a frame is the winner.

If a team busts, the frame will be over and that team will return to the score of 15.

SCORING summary

  • Play to 21 points

  • Bust to 15 points

  • Cancellation scoring

  • On the Board = 1 point

  • Through the Hole = 3 points

Foul bags

  • Any bag that hits the ground before landing on the board does not count.

  • Any bag that is touching the ground and the board does not count.

METHODS OF SCORING

Cancellation Scoring: The points of one player cancel out the points of their opponent. Using this method, only one player/team can score in each frame.

Example:

  1. Red team achieves one (1) bag on the board and two (2) bags in the hole during the frame (7 total points)

  2. Blue team achieves two (2) bags on the board and zero (0) bags in the hole during the frame (2 total points)

  3. 7 points – 2 points = Red team scores 5 points for that frame

Taking turns

The team that scored last will throw first in the next frame.

RECORDING THE SCORE

Recording the Score: Teams are in charge of keeping track of the game score. No officials will be present. Once a game is complete, the winning team will report it to the tournament manager.

Have fun. This is for charity.
