About Lori

Lori (Wolter) Burns was a graduate of Beloit Turner High School. A 3-sport athlete, she competed at the highest level on every court or field. In her senior year, she was chosen as a South WBCA All-Star. Earning a full ride scholarship to play at UW-Parkside capped off a wildly successful athletic career.

After graduating from UW-Stevens Point with a degree in education, Lori began her tenured career at Edison Middle School as a 7th grade English teacher. Moving her way through the ranks, she took on the role of Learning Support Specialist before accepting the position of Principal at Monroe Elementary School.

When diagnosed with stage 4 metastasized breast cancer in 2013 (a disease she had beaten 8 years before), Lori faced her challenge head on - always keeping God and family close.

Her mantra, "Make A Difference" lives on today.
